O.K. If this has been discussed just lock it up. Ahem...As you all know Motor Trends Car the Year is the oldest (1949) award in the auto industry, so ... the 2001 Elantra was one of the cars of the twenty-one vying for the title. The Fall issue of the Motor-trend New Car Buyer's Guide has the article. Domestic and Foreign were allowed to compete. The Elantra didn't win, but was mentioned as
"the most improved of the bunch".
The winner is revealed at the end of the article, which some peeps may prefer to read for themselves...so stop reading here if you just don't give a flying f*uck or want to read it for yourself. I said STOP reading. O.K. It was the PT Cruiser.

Maybe this will clarify things for you. The title of the article is...
"Winner...Motor Tend 2001 Car of the Year: Chrysler PT Cruiser". It's from the 2002/2003 New Car Buyer's Guide.

That's a year old article. The new COTY is the gay-ass T-bird.

Yeah. But did anyone read my original post on this subject? I was
referring to the 2001 Elantra vying for Car of the Year 2001. I didn't mention anything about the 2002 Car of the Year, which would, obviously,
have nothing to do with a 2001 Elantra, or an Elantra of any other year. There are apparently 2001 Elantra owners that are unaware that their car was even in the running...hence my post.

I don't know which 1 it was, t-bird or pt cruiser. Both are sh*t, the cruiser is uglier and heavier than the Elantra, and only has about 15-20hp more. It can't be all that fun of a car.

O.K....I get the feeling you don't like these car very much. Anyhoo, the PT Cruiser has 150 hp...10 more than the Elantra...and is like 400
lbs heavier.
