You can do that. Move the battery to the trunk in the passenger side corner. (make sure it is in a sealed/vented box), then run a cai through that hole. If you use a 6" piece of silocone, you can get it through that hole and it will take up the full space and not lose MUCH diameter in the process, but enlarging the hole would be the better option for air flow. That would put your air filter in the most protected part of the fenderwell, and Hydrolock would never be a problem. I do reccomend that you still heatwrap the porton of the intake that is in the engine bay though.
