Most 1.6L accents seem to run around 17 in the 1/4mile with a 5spd.. so 17.5-18.0 for an auto, i dunno i drove a freinds with a 1.6 auto and it didn't seem to have as much punch... my loaner car while my tiburon was getting worked on was an auto accent. and that thing was gutless, i would be careful even racing a 91 civic. but you'll never know until you try, but don't put any money on it.

If he has a DOHC in a 91 civic hatch. he's swapped. It should be a D16 in there.

What trim is it? CX, DX, Si? If it's an Si don't waste your time, he'd kill you. DX, CX would be a better match.

well its not an SI and yeah its the simple SOHC engine. bone stock. i have the 16L DOHC wiht an intake and an exhust. i think he has a DX its a red hatchback. not a v tec. he does have a v tec engine btu hasnt put it in yet. he want to prove a point with hyundai saying that even his crappy stock 1.5 SOHC engine can beat a hyundai 1.6L dohc. he is automatic also. so wish me luck this shoudl be going down in about 10 days.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

Man a regular 1.5 sohc automatic.. your gonna smoke his ass if he is stock.. my freind had one of them.. well a wagon but even that wasn't to much heavier than the others.. but anyway.. that thing was so freakin slow it wasn't funny.. My Nissan ran circles around it and my best run in the Nissan to 60 was 10.82... so I know that thing is gonna lose.. unless you don't power brake and keep it in 1. Now that same civic is REALLY slow sence it threw its chank bearing, lost oil pressure and seized the engine.....

Pfft.. it's a waste of gas, you'll murder him. The 4G (specifically the 88-89) Si's were low 16 high 15 second cars stock, supprise The 90-91's gained a little weight and were more in the mid 16's, still pretty eye-opening for a 10+ year old car with a raging 108hp <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>
