My opinion is get a 2001 or 2002.
V6 engines have too many problems.

Well if your from Ontario, just buy a Hyundai, cause we need more Hyundais around here, and when we happen to have a meet it adds to the scare of a couple dozen Tiburons coming into a parking lot like at the last Hyundai meet in TO.

Personally I have the first 2003 6-speed V6 Silver Tiburon in Ontario (as of when they are released). I personally think even with the V6 I can shoe horn a turbo in there and get my baby up to 300hp at least <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Since when do V6 engines have too many problems??? A V6 is way more reliable.
I would rather have the V6 Tib over a I4 Tib any day of the week.

i prefer that it be called "winnie the pooh yellow" ****a

and get what you think is the best choice. on one hand the 03's a cross between a mustang and audi TT with a optional v6 available. on the other a very customizable 2k+ that has simliar features to the celica. i know the '03's are coming with a v6 but i personally believe that they will ultimately end up doing what the v6 avengers did ...... bomb. and another thing i honestly believe if you buy a tiburon for speed .... you are an idiot. yes they can be made to go fast .... but there are alternatives to them if speed is what you want or need.

The Hyundai V6 is known as a weak motor compared to the Beta. In Korea, those crazy guys put out over 500 HP to the wheels with beta motors, but the v-6 block can't take that pressure/stress and is only good to about 350 to the wheels. For 99.9999% of hyundai owners, the V6 will be just as reliable as the I4, even in turbocharged applications...but for those insane folks like Red....the I4 is the stronger block and has higher HP potential....as sad as that may be.

Leave it to Random to Needlessly complicate things.
