I jsut got a 97 tibby and i'm thinking about switching the engine out, it stock has 96000 on it and i'm not shure how long it'll last/or if i should put money and start upgrading this engine<img src=/images/forums/snitz/oogle.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

Considering the fact that it is a 97 it shouldnt be too bad. If you think about it 97 thou aint to bad. Its a lot for that year, but still not a lot. I just suggest a thourough tune up, and keep up on the oil changes and itll last you a lot longer.

It should be fine if it was not abused. Go ahead and mod it. If you blow the engine you can still keep all the aftermarket parts and put it on the new engine.
