Ok, heres the deal, I am turning 16 on Jan. 5th (Im a baby, i know) anywayz my dad is buying me a 2002 accent (because of their warranties) at first i wanted a '95 honda civic, but now I am excited about this accent. So I was wondering what kind of mods should I look into. Figure I am on a low budget because insurance is a bit pricy. Anywayz, I think i want to put a cold air intake, a new exhuast, new shift knob, new steering wheel, 17" rims, and what else???? Just gimme some pointers, cause like I said Im a newB.

Welcome to the boards. Don't worry about being a youngun as long as you do not come on here with some BS stories about mods that you have. Also realize that The Fast and the Furious was just a movie.

It sounds like you have a good start there. I don't know how your parents feel about you modding a car but maybe if you start with somethind Realy simple like strut tower braces you may be able to ease them into it better. What you do is order the strut tower braces and right before you put then on have your dad take the car for a spin. Then right after you install them have him drive the car.

He will see that the cars handling is 10xs better and feel better about you driving it. Basically a better handling car is a safer car.

Also the braces are simple to install, inexpensive and they make a great beginners mod.
