This summer i'll be gettin the ballistic turbo kit for my 97 tib(the sponsorship better go good and it better kick ass so i can still get the kit), anyways....i was wonderin if this was a good idea....running a progressive nitrous system at low rpms until the spools in the turbo get up to speed....is that a good idea? if i do go that route, what kind of nitrous system would be the best way to go? any info is appreciated, thanks

Are you trying to say you already got the sponsorship or are you trying to say that you are hoping to get the sponsorship?<img src=/images/forums/snitz/oogle.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

Well some people do run run a small shot until the turbo comes up to speed. A properly sized turbo shouldn't have to much lag to worry about.

I haven't seen the specs of the T3/T4 hybrid turbo. If it is on the smaller side... it and the T3 will probably not need any nitrous to assist in spool up.

I assume that this is for the strip and not the street. I'll bet that with just a well dialed in turbo on street tires... traction will be a problem... nitrous will only make it worse.

Even on the strip, with the two staged rev limiter or antilag, you should be able to launch with more than enough power and boost. Very few things sound nicer than an engine bouncing off the secondary rev limiter at the lights.

It does help the lag if you can stage and bump the engine against the stage rev limiter.

Thanks for all the info....basically what i'm seein is that it depends on the specs of the turbo on whether or not it would be beneficial for me to go with a small shot of nitrous until the spools get up to speed...or that no matter what the specs, it still wouldnt be all that beneficial..?
