OK im new to nitrous and i want tolearn everythign i can. ONE thing i am confused about is isit better to have higher compression or lower compression with nitrous? and if anyone can post some links with info about nitrous then it would be much appreciated. thanks <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

When using nitrous, it doesn't matter if you have 9:1 or 12:1. When using high compression its best to use a high octane fuel to supply the wet nitrous setup.

I have a wet single fogger nitrous system on my car (that i installed myself).. and its jetted to 70HP right now.. it works perfectly and the car is like a monster when i spray!!! i have a bone stock 1999 2.0L automatic elantra.

i used a basic edelbrock carbuerator plate wet nitrous kit that costs only $350 new... i then threw away the carb plate and i purchased a NOS Fogger nozzle for $30 new.. i installed the kit as the instructions suggested but instead of using the carb jets i bought 2 new jets from my local speed shop for about $4 dollars each... i got a 41 nitrous jet, and a 26 fuel jet.. that combo is for 70HP.. so far ,my kit works perfectly and i havent had any problems.. i also purchased an MSD inline fuel injection fuel pump for $110 NEW, this was to keep the fuel pressure nice and strong while on the juice.. but its wired in and its on all the time.. last thing i did was change out my spark plugs for some NGK Vracing series plugs that cost me about $8 NEW.

i also had my first kill tonight.. i spanked an AUDI TT turbo with the greatest of ease !!!

hey fordfasterr i am just curious how many times have you actually used your nitrous? and how does your car run when you arnet using it?

I have already gone through a bottle, i have used it about 15 times... it works perfectly and i have already beat a few cars.. an audi TT, an infinity J30, a new model exlipse 2.5L 5 speed with mods and even a v6 camaro !!!

the car is running hard and perfectly. no surging or anything,

i use premium fuel and i have my kit jetted to 70HP. with a # 41 nitrous jet and a # 26 fuel jet...

also, more info about a recent race with the 2.4L eclipse 5 speed... we raced last week, when i didnt have the spray on.. first race i beat him, second race he beat me.. both races were within a car length or less ... so i would say our cars were basically even... mind you, my elantra is bone stock automatic. i have a bass box with two 10 inch subwoofers and a big amplifier in the trunk...

then today, we raced.. i sprayed and i took him by 10 car lengths at 80 mph.. then we went again, and i beat him by 10 cars again.. when we got back and parked.. his eyes were wide open, he was speechless...
