there were 4 things which hurt me I feel:
1- Judge got there 2 early
2- TV was down
3- no NOPI sticker
4- not perfect paint
but like I said before, I'm happy with what I got, and that's kewl, it got KORE noticed, and my tibby more at the UR Booth... so I'm kewl <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

And I know what you mean by the judge being there too early. Remember, we were JUST starting to clean our cars and she was there.
I don't mean to flame Shane or anything, but hydraulics on a Tib is a no-no.

don't get me wrong I'm kewl with Shane too, it's just like you said, I feel as that being a no-no on a tib without going into other major modifications like 2lo is doing, his tib is worthy all around, not just for 1 or 2 mods, when others there had way more, me included...

That's exactly my point. I do believe that show wasn't fair, but I am sure that next year, they will have no excuse not to give you the right prize.

i love your car yuri and everything but i have one question...why do you guys think shanes car wasnt worthy of 1st place? he had things that noone else there had, therefore making his stand out the most...

na man, see this is the way I see it and I understand it, yes he had airbags and s/c and a front skirts, yes he stood out, and I personally think it's ok, because I know that if they're would have been a WILD class he would've taken it so therefore by him winning first on MILD it's ok...
it's just that that's it, I mean, how and why should 3 MODS ok they're major ones, but why should something like BAGS and S/C be enough to take down anyone that has more than 3 mods, and I don't mean just 1 outside the car, 1 inside the motor and 1 under the car...
The whole point is that a show car or a show winning car has found most or all of the ways of tuning a car, which means INTERIOR/EXTERIOR/ENGINE BAY/UNDERCAR??? isn't this correct... This is why once again I will use 2LO's car as an example, 2LO understands what it takes to win shows and I'm sure he will agree with me on the point I'm trying to make...

thats understandable, i can see where you are comming from, but you have to remember number of mods doesnt always mean you have the better car. you also have to consider how well the mods are carried out and cleanliness etc etc etc.

yep, my point exactly, I wasn't even talking cleanliness man but you just said another good point there, and you saw all the engines there and interiors, now you give me an opinion on his compared to all other tibbies...
And about # of mods not saying you have the best car, you are correct, <b>UNLESS</b> your mods work and are shown in a clean and very nice way, yes or no??? even Dan said it himself, "the s/c belt is not even connected..." sorta like when summer was running 2psi on her turbo everyone said it was for show only...

he also had a supercharger. but what i am saying those are 2 things that noone else in the hyundai class had, which made his car stand out even more. thats what the judges look at. you can have the flashiest car in the world and get beat out by a very clean jdm looking car. that's also why shaun took 2nd place b/c he was the only tib there with full body graphics, thats 1 thing that noone else in the hyundai class had. and yuri got third because he didnt have anything that noone else had but his car was very clean and presentable. now do you guys see what im saying?

with that said it goes to the judges like you said. maybe the judging wasnt fair, i wasnt in it so i wouldnt know, maybe the judges went mostlyo on mods. but i do see what you were saying about your car but i dont know if it would have made a huge difference. jessica has a tv in her car but she didnt place, small things like that catch the eyes of judges but dont stop them in their tracks.

So those are Batlord's mods, different than anyone in the group.
Everyone has had an original mod to their vehicle, so if everyone is different, don't you think that presentation matters in that sense?
