Trying to get an OBD2 scanner for my laptop. I've searched here, but nothing that I deem useful. I actually saw one a few days ago where you can have a bunch of "virtual gauges" which I kinda liked. Dont remember where. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hyundai Accent 1998 ISO
Hyundai Accent 2000 ISO
Hyundai Elantra 1996 ISO
Hyundai Elantra 2001 ISO
Hyundai Matrix 2002 ISO
Hyundai Tiburon 1997 ISO

Looks like thats what you need, and me... Gotta check the funds on payday ;-)

will it allow you to make adjustments (such as A/F) or just monitor what's going on?

ftwvamp.. Where can I get just the software and then get the cable separately?

Will I be able to use it on other vehicles, or is it brand specific?

Its all Monitoring and for clearing a CEL light if everything has been taken care of.

Ebay for cable. Internet P2P for software I wont be specific on that part.

click the ebay link above in my other post and it will show you what I bought the ISO one which is for Imports and Chrystlers. If you have a GM you need a specific one and for FORD you need another specific one.

Just ordered the product off of eBay through the link you supplied. Also used ebay discount codes listed here: http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=12478 and got 10% off

Anyways, it works really good. Make sure you buy a NULL Serial cable or it will not work. It wont work with a straight though Serial cable. Make sure, FEMALE-FEMALE Null Cable. I bought one at frys for like 12.00. You could get one off ebay for 1.00 but I couldnt wait. I tried the Dyno on it.. but my laptop battery died on me. Anyways, good product.

It's been suggested to use a DB9F to DB9F connector to hook the OBD-II to a laptop. I don't have a DB9M on my laptop.

Will a DB9F to DB25M work? I know they'll connect, but will this allow the data to transfer? It's using the printer connector.

Just installed a Digimoto. I got the mOByDic package because it will work on any car.
Putting it through the paces now.

Seems nice but no manual came with it.
