Paint problems on the Tibby?

Anyone have any problems with their paint on the Tibby?

I have a '99 Cobolt Blue Tibby and the paint is "bubbling up" in several places. Also where the door hits against cardboard in our garage the paint has just rubbed off then end of the door!

I took it to the dealer and they said it was bird poop. I was in a hurry to get to work (was picking it up after having the battery replaced) so didn't stay to argue too much. But I keep it in a garage, keep it clean, and have covered parking at work!

I think I'll try another dealer and see what they say, but it sure seems like the paint is very easy to rub off on it.

pretty much hyundais paint sucks ass.
its too thin and chips really friggin easy.
when i had my cobalt blue tib the paint was also really soft even atfer a year. i could lightly press into it with my fingernail and it would leave a depression. i figure after about 5 years ill totally repaint the entire car.

Thats true. However, you guys have it easy with red and blue cars. Mine is black, the hardest to keep nice. No problems with the paint yet other then that even if you fart next to it, you will leave a mark. hehe. Hyundais paint is too thin. But if you take care of it, it will look good <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yup, there paint does suck! I get chips on the front of my car from flying down the highway.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
