I have a 1998 Tiburon FX. About a year ago, I took it in as the clear coat broke down on the upper surfaces. The regional service guy hooked me up by repainting the upper surfaces. But not a little more that a year after, the spoiler and mirror paint is totally crazed and flaking off..

The car has 50K on it so I am out of Warranty. Am I the only one with lemon flavored paint?? Any ideas on recourse??<img src=/images/forums/snitz/moon.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

There have been some tibbies that have the paint/clear coat fail withing the first 3 months....others are still going strong with no worries. It all depends in if you got unlucky. It sounds like you did.

Contact the same regional guy, and remind him of the past paperwork. See if he is willing to work out a deal with you.

Leave it to Random to Needlessly complicate things.
