I am thinking about painting the glove compartment door on my car red to match the other center councel and gauge cluster, my question is can i use the same paint i used on those pieces or do i have to get some vinyl paint or something? Any one help?

I prefer to take the road less traveled.....but now where the hell am I?

You can do it with paint, but it will take MANY coats to remove the vinyl's texture and make it loose smooth. If you don't mind the texture...just a couple of coats should do.

If you want to keep the vinyl feeling like vinyl and not paint...get the vinyl dye.

Leave it to Random to Needlessly complicate things.

and remember stare at the glovebox... not the floor..<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I used plastikote vinyl coloring, its alright for those surfaces that dont get much contact to them, Id use SEM for anything else, ie. door handles, etc..
