Have any of you guys bought the Performance ECU from HDK Autosports I just wanted to know what kind of gains you get and if it's worth paying the $400.00 for. The guy that I was talking to on the phone said I could expect a gain of 10-12 hp after he figured it out with my mods.

hehe ya with the 1.8T, nmap. Though whats the gains with a base model Jetta? Ya pretty similar. The old Scoupe turbo was adding 32hp and 45 lbs-ft but that was on a 1.5L which I don't think is too bad. Mind you that was over 6 years ago, and technology has changed ;)

Umm... how is someone who has a VW titled an hp.com member? I remember when you had to earn that title. I'm not saying that he should be kicked out of the site, unless he says some other dumb comment hating on hyundai's.

You're not gonna really find any other ECU's out there that are pretty inexpensive, and that add alot of power. If you really want an ECU that provides alot of power and options..then go with a Haltech. They're one of the best on the market, and most people who run turbo applications have these for their rides. Just beware..they are pretty expensive.

hrm. maybe you should go back and read some of my posts. i've said nothing bad about any hyundai's ever.

but yeah. as far as Naturally aspirated chip tuning goes, your probly better off putting the money into a savings account and going forced induction at a later date. hardly any gains to be squeezed out of chip tuning NA cars
