Ok, after test driving an RSX type S today, I've realized just how much Hyundai shifters suck...

I know that the B&M will shorten the throw, but is there any chance it will make the shifts a little less "sloppy"?

Dopeskills - it does help the feel of the shifter significantly. It has a little extra weight to it to help smooth out the shifter.

Also, if any of you are having problems calling the 877 number, it's AT&T...Chuck is fighting with them to get the number fixed (we've discovered that it's blocked in some areas and is supposed to be nationwide). If you have questions, and can't get through the 877 number, ask me here or click my profile and email me and I will help out.

I called tonight, and I had NO CLUE what the name of the place was.. A Lady picked up and I was like "Umm, is this Umm......" AND FROZE.. LOL She told me that after the store closes it turns over to a personal line.. I left my name and number, and she is going to have the guy get back to me tomorrow..

I have one question though.. My Gal was Born on December 11, but I have the Black Shift thing.. I have heard that all of them after October should have the White one.. Do I have a bastard daughter? LOL

Reid, I just got back from a ski trip out in Colorado. Guess what was waiting for me? The shifter finally came in when I was away. So, I installed it. It was very easy. It took me about ten minutes to do it. Maaaaannn, what a difference. I haven't taken it out for a ride yet, but I noticed the difference when I was dry shifting it on the driveway. Thanks... YOU the man!!!!

And everyone, you gotta to have it. Talk about no hassle install.

okay i know that it makes it a shorter throw but does it do anything for the side to side motion while in gear?? my tib can move like an inch side to side while in gear....does this help that??

I have question before i order one. Which on fits a 01 mad in June, I read some where that it it's made before October you had to get the 00? So which one do i need?

For the Tiburon, you need the ..115 shifter (97-2000 Tiburon).
To be sure, go out to your car, lift up the cover over the shifter, and then look to see what the base plate looks like...I posted a picture earlier in this thread that shows what the base plate for the 2001+Tiburon/Elantra shifter looks like. If you base plate/shifter mechanism DOES NOT look like this one, then you need the 115 part number. It appears that B&M may have mislabled the box on the 119 shifter...it appears that shifter is for the 2001+ Elantras only, and the 115 is for all Tiburons from 97-2001.

Reid...I just received my B&M short shift kit and had to install it tonight after work. What a difference. This is how the car should feel from the factory. It improves the sporty feel of the GT ten fold. I could go on gushing but suffice to say I cant wait to drive again. Tell Chuck the guy from Long Island said thanks.

Reid, do you think I can cut the shifter handle down a bit. It's still too long. It seems that the throw is shorter when you hold it close to the base plate.
