Installed my B&M today. <img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

Here's some pics of it installed in my car (with a Sola Luna shift knob).

This thing is awesome!! I can't believe how short the throw is, and how nice it feels!

Looks good. Is that shift knob a direct screw on, or does it have those little allen screws to bolt it on tight? Does it come in other colors too? If it's a direct screw on, where might I pick up one of those bad boys? <img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

Can you do me a BIG favor??? Could you put your original gear knob on and give us a profile shot (side view like #2 pic)?
Thanks.

The shift knob is a screw on type, and it sat on the stock shifter before I bought my SR shifter in 99, and now it's on the B&M. I gave my old shift knob away, so I can't take a pic of it, but the added length on the stock shift knob would cover the aluminum you see in the pic under the Sola knob.
I bought the shift knob at the shop I work at part time, and you should be able to get it just about anywhere...let me know if you can't...I can talk to the shop owner and see if he is interested in starting mail/internet orders (RoadShow USA, not RC Performance where I got the shifter). The shift knob does come in other colors, and looks much better up close. It's a burnished aluminum knob that has a clear coat over top of it...it's very sharp in the sunlight. I do know they come in red, silver, blue, and I think yellow...it's been about 2 years since I bought it, but they are still advertised in the catalog. Oh yeah, the thing is very light too. Not like the weighted knob that comes with the car. One thing to note with the Sola line...you have to order an insert for it. They make the knobs universal, but you have to buy the insert for your particular car, that way they don't have to make 20 million different knobs. Mine also came with a brushed aluminum(Silver) ring along the bottom, but I overtightened it once (doh!) and stripped it.

lol
Nah, that's the light reflecting off the e-brake <img src=/images/forums/snitz/laugh.gif width=15 height=31 border=0>

Reid ......

I am familiar with RoadShow from my current employer. Unless they have an alternate source for Sola, they may be unable to get the line any longer. Something you may want to check into.

How do you like the B&M setup so far? I have fielded several call at work on a short shifter for the Tib, and I have nothing to go by other than to say B&M makes the kit.

BTW ... are you a part timer at RoadShow? I may have talked to you before and not even known it.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

Digital, yep, I'm a partimer there, but I only work on Saturdays, and have only been Saturday's for about the last two years.

The B&M is amazing! It is has a very short throw, and is easy to install. It takes about 10 minutes to install (probably 15 minutes for those not used to messing with that entire assembly). The stock shift knob will screw right on it, and it comes with a B&M shift knob as well.

Too bad about the Sola line. I don't know if they have another supplier. I know that knob was in the import catalog for a couple of years!

Lantra, I believe it will work, as long as the shifter assembly is the same as the Tib's, it should be fine.
