yup, felt a bit better, and decided i could drag myself out to the garage today. (guess the ER visit yesterday actually helped)
this is my $15.50 beta2 motor off ebay with under 30k miles on her.

figured so you could actually see what i mean, i grabbed my spare beta1 manifold out of my garage's 2nd floor, and compared it to the beta2. by weight alone, the beta2 is probably close to twice the weight of the beta1. the beta1 mani i would indeed consider light, but the beta2 definitly has some weight to it.

i agree, its also like twice the weight of the beta1 mani. im pretty sure from comparing the designs that the beta2 definitly flows better. but i doubt ill be able to use it on my tiburon sadly. good thing is that the beta2 mani's sell for 125 bux easy on NT
well to give you an idea of my current motor, went to the track yesterday, heres my best slip!

not bad considering i have very few actual engine mods and did that on 25 pound 17's with bald tires.
