This CAI is great Its very easy to install too. Noticed a good increase in torque and horsepower. A deep sound came from the intake as the RPM's went up. A variety of colors can be chosen with polished or unpolished aluminum piping and a reactive cone filter on the end. I chose black with polished aluminum piping, the pics will be posted as soon as hyundai tuner is back on line. This is a CAI that I would recommend. Hopefully Torresmotorsports CAI's will be one of the ones dynoed by Hyundai Performance.com and or Shark racing. Thanks Hector for a job well done.

one question, is that air duct piping? if not is that pipe bumpy or smooth on the inside?

The aluminum piping is 3 inches in diameter and not light weight (it's not hose from a dryer). The inside isn't smooth though.

hmmm i question the performance of that if the inside is rigid. also 3" is a little large for our cars.

what do you guys think the random special is made out of??? same thing flex exhaust pipe from jcw the stuff works well and is very durable. the air flow even with the rigid inside is equal to mandrel bending. random already tested this by measuring how much air is flowing through the maf. ask him yourself if you wont take my word for it.

did you just lose to an auto 4spd? i think you did...

i would like to add one thing having a 3 inch pipe after the maf is pointless. the maf is 2 inches so thats all the air your gonna flow either way, as rudy pointed out.

It's 3 inches before the MAF and 2 inches after it...

wow...dude....

how much did u pay for that? i hope nothing more than the parts cost from home depot and shipping, plus maybe 5-10 bucks extra cus u had some other guy pick it out for u

i can look at that and make it myself for like...say 30 bucks and thats includding the cost of the 15-20 dollar cone. the rubber piece on the tb is like 3, the reducer is like 3, im not sure about the EXHAUST REPAIR PIPEING costs tho... maybe about 7? (cus thats what the silver tube stuff is)

im not knocking custom made intakes (ive been lookeing as to where to get vinyl home depot decals for my car for awhile now..) but seriosuly, makein ur own is cool..and if a guy makes u one its cool...but whats the idea of this sounding like its from some real company?

Damn you guys are pretty fvcking negative.

Both Doc and Hec have helped alot of peeps on this and other forums.

Doc helps people by offering his medical advice for free to all of us and makes sure that peeps don't rag on others for their problems yet you still choose to rip him apart.

Hec has been a valuable part of Hyundai tuning for years and does everything he can to get us positive recognition by entering his car in readers rides and other shows. You should take a look at what he drives and maybe you would realize his dedication to his car and all of us.

If you didn't like the intake there is a much more positive way that you could have offered your advice and maybe helped someone out. Otherwise you should have just stayed out of it.
