Post your Dyno Results

Lets have some of our tuners out there post their Dyno results and give a list of the mods you have done. I'm not interested in what you plan to do...just what you have to show for what you have done. If you have both WHP and HP ratings it would be nice, let the posting begin!

Hey Mateus if everyone's track times are shitty then where the **** are yours?? I mean don't give people **** if you don't have anytimes to post up. As for myself I only went to the track once and that was when my car was stock and had 1,200 miles on it. I ran a 10.7 1/8 mile. We only have one 1/4 mile track here so the track I usually go to is 1/8 b/c it's closer and cheaper.

Theres mine... I think i can break into the 16.9's when i get some better tires.. was running on stock Hankooks and they suck. BTW i wrote that stuff so i wouldn't forget what was what.. they only give you half of the slip at Houston Raceway Park.. other half goes to the other guy. Which would have been about an 11.. lol was some supped up older Camero that KICKed my ass

Just bought it so there are no mods :)

Future mods:
Shortshifter
Cams
Ram Air Intake
Exhaust (headers->muffler)
BBTB -> IM
I never even asked for track times...the topic is dyno results. My goal was to see what people were gaining in HP with the mods they were doing. I am trying to research the data...all people talk about is 10hp this and 5 hp that...I just want to see something tangible so I know what I am sinking my money into. I could care less about track times....and yes they are **** because they are all 16 sec and above...a stock Civic could do better than that.

<hr width=60% noshade size=1 align=left>"Even in death we live!"
Do you have any fu*ckin clue how expensive dyno time is? If you wanna know so bad, buy the godamn parts and hit the rollers. The original title was post yout dynbo results/timeslips i thought, or at least time slips was brought up.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/mad.gif width=16 height=16 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/mad.gif width=16 height=16 border=0>

and 16's are pretty quick and 16.9-17.0 is a nice time with the amounts of mods they have done to their ACCENTS!! did you see the little car on the left side, those didn't look like cartoon tibbys or elantras, those were ACCENTS!<img src=/images/forums/snitz/mad.gif width=16 height=16 border=0>

I don't have any "official" 1/4 mile times yet, though. Only G-Tech runs.
With only mild intake mods and a cat back exhaust and have run a G-Tech time of 7.8seconds for the 0 -100kph (about 62mph).

I have dyno print outs but no scanner. I can give you general info though. I have a 2001 Lantra ( the Aussie version had to renamed it is the same as the Elantra of the same year in America/Canada etc ). I have a 2ltr 5 speed.
On a stock car with the only mods being;
K&N panel filter,
stock airbox with the inlet & outlet edges smoothed with sand paper and all internal fins removed,
90 mm foward facing duct from under car to stock inlet of the airbox,
NGK "V" Groove spark plugs and
Castrol GTX 10-40 oil
The car ran on a Dynojet 248C Dynameter - 118.8 BHP and 120.7 ft-lbs (imperial measures).
With the above mods and a 2 1/4inch press bent cat back system with a resonator and a straight thru muffler on a 75 degrees F day i got a max of 125.3 BHP and 126.4 ft-lbs.
All power runs in 3rd gear.
FYI i want a set of 4-1 extractors as my next mod. My motor only really wakes up at about 4000 anyway so the top end nature of the extractor design does not bother me. the 2ltr has enough torque to drive around town.

My intake may seem different from the generally accepted intake modification. But apart from a slighty doughy throttle resposne in the lower rev ranges ( a bored out TB will solve this!) the car wakes up like a banshee once the revs and road speed is up!! hahaha
My goal is to crack into the 15second bracket for the 1/4 mile with only bolt ons. Shouldn't be too hard as i am sure i am going low 16's now. But not wanting to be a wanker i will have to wait for an official track run!!

Just to add to my lil rant:
I have one power mod: a custom intake, modified from a Honduh civic application. I was running 17.2's bone stock on the crappy Hancock tires. I should have rims, springs, and some other little goodies to help my motor breathe better (or even a new motor ;) ). I know my car is faster than what i posted, but those stock tires have no grip.

There are basicly two measurements for drag racing. The first is E.T. That stands for ELAPSED TIME. That is the time elapsed between the green light and when you cross the finish line. This is really how the winner is determined. The first to cross the finish line will have the lowest elapsed time. E.T. is a effected by your reaction time and thus can be improved by it.
Your 60ft, 1/8th, and 1/4 mile times are measured from when you break a light beam at the start line to those specific distances. That is why simply making your car faster will not always when you races. The top divers have skills. They are not just hanging on for the ride.
To learn more about the "art" of drag racing look at some of the old school mags that cover hot rodding or such. A great website to look at many magazines go to GR8RIDE.com.
BTW i know this is off this topic but just wanted to clear the air a little.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

Yippie can we get any more whinny? 105hp running a 17.0 (I strongly beleive it can do better stock) and 130hp running 16.5 (at best) I give the props to the underpowered car getting close enough to take out the more powerful one with freaking Vtec stuff. (If the the EX makes a mistake accent would winm i know this cuz i hit the water box on my thrid run,spun my left tire and ran a 17.6) Both are desent times comparing them to other cars IE: 128hp 1.8Ltr Sephia running 18.5 with a 5spd
