This is what I did to replace the P/S fluid for my 04 Tibby.

I used a hand siphon pump to take out the P/S fluid from the reservoir down to the middle of the reservoir. I poured in new P/S fluid then drove the car around for 2 days. After 2 days, I repeated the process to eventually replace the old fluid with the new one.

I used a total of 2 small bottles of P/S fluid that I bought at the local Hyundai dealership.

I learned about his method on the Internet. I don't have the link, ATM, but it was from a reputable auto site.

i would just siphon all the fluid in the reservior out, fill with new.

start the car
- turn the steering to 1 way ( lets say LEFT ) and lock it to fully left for about 5 seconds. turn to straight.

turn off car
- siphon all the fluid out (you will see it's already the dirty fluid)
- fill with new again

start the car
- turn the steering the other way (now RIGHT) and lock it to FULLY right for abnout 5 seconds. TUrn to straight.

turn off car
- siphon all the fluid out ( it's black again ).
- fill with new.

REPEAT until it looks clear red like the new fluid.

That's how i do it.
Uses about 3L of new fluid. It's a complete fluid.

NEVER and NEVER lock the steering to left or right for more than 6 or more seconds. It will wear out the pump due to the high pressure generated.
Short period is ok ( just like normal U turn ).
