Well, a friend just put a 1.6 engine in his pulsar with neo VVL. This sucker makes 173hp and about 16,5 nm of torque. It really hits 8.500rpm redline. Will I have a chance with my Alpha turbo accent at let's say 10-12 psi of boost?

I have no idea. 1.3L is very small, what turbo are you running; T15?

He has to have a T25 at least, he said 10-12 psi of boost, I think the t15 is only capable of 7

I have the t15. Tha VVL engine has no turbo! It's a N/A 1.6 sucker running 173hp!

Thats pretty damn good for a NA 1.6L.

I ride it today.. Good torque till 5500rpm not too much but good. At 5600 the first kick comes till 7200 when the second and BIG kick comes and the tach goes at once at 8300 redline! I'm pretty sure that from rolling 2nds, 3rds I have a pretty good chance, as the turbo kicks good. But from traffic light starts... I'm finished. 7.4 0-60 miles stock!

VVL owns all! when i blow up the DE im doing an sr20ve swap in my car. nissan vtach yo! theres a good chance hes going to walk you, but you should also be able to pull him off the line.
