what size are the door speakers... and what are the RMS and Watt maximums for them? Cuz I'm purchasing a blaukpunt San Jose mp3/cd/wma player with 25RMS and 50Watt headunit/reciever... Thanks

I'm too lazy to look, or do a search, sorry.

I'm not sure about the 97 model but in my 2000 model, the front speakers are 6 1/2"s and the rear are 6x9"s. The factory apeakers will be fine if you add that deck. You could even add a small amp if you wanted to increase the volume. Hope this helps.

The door speakers aren't 6 1/2s, they are 6 3/4s. I ran into this problem when I bought a component set and had to make an adapter for it to fit. The rear speakers are 6x9s.

They are actually oversized 6 1/2"s. I made a standard pair of 6 1/2"s fit into the hole without any modifactions.
