what size are the door speakers... and what are the RMS and Watt maximums for them? I'm not sure about the 97 model but in my 2000 model, the front speakers are 6 1/2"s and the rear are 6x9"s. The factory apeakers will be fine if you add that deck. You could even add a small amp if you wanted to increase the volume. Hope this helps.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

The door speakers aren't 6 1/2s, they are 6 3/4s. I ran into this problem when I bought a component set and had to make an adapter for it to fit. The rear speakers are 6x9s.

They are actually oversized 6 1/2"s. I made a standard pair of 6 1/2"s fit into the hole without any modifactions.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>
