I have been challanged... buy a 01 Chevy Blazer v6 auto 4wd.. this guy is talkin all sorts of crap.. and if i lose ill never live it down. Can I take him out?

I think it will beat you. I used to have a 92 s10 blazer 2 door with a 4.3L v6. It had 200 hp and 260 lb/ft of torque. I used to race my friend's 95 240 and tear him a new ass hole.

i think those new trailblazers with the vortec v-6s do low 16's 1/4 mile but my friend that drives on says don't go anywhere after like 75

It also weights alot and is an automatic. I thought the 270hp I6 TrailBlazer could get into the 15's?

I raced my friends 99 chevy Z-71 v-8, he kept up with me till I hit third then I would pull away a little bit. All the way to 4th he was at the midway of my drivers side door until I hit 5th then I was gone, but slowed down because by the time I shifted I was @ 100 !!! <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

I'm guessing the Tibby's also lighter,which works for you as well...oh by the way, pray for rain on that day...it will take away his horsepower advantage as well,you would both be equal in the wet;only now it would depend solely on the driver!

Go ahead and race if you are a better driver. If you loose who cares your car cost less then 1/2 of his and it has 50% less cylinders. He should win. lol... sure ill race in the rain.. lol.. I don't like my car.. lol.. BTW i raced a 180hp 2wd shiftonic Santa Fe and won (Well he was behind me and i had my wife in the car going up a small hill and pulled away from him and he was trying, crooked h was the driver).. were did that hp advantage go?

Well the Santa Fe is pretty heavy and the V6 in it doesnt really have enough grunt to overcome that...but you gotta admit,Santa Fe is so comfortable you might just roll over a riceboy and not know it!!!
