Great news for Hyundai! They scored their highest placing in world level rallying. Alister McRae scored 4th place and Kenneth Eriksson scored 6th place! Great job for the Hyundai drivers before they head to other teams. Alister McRae will be moving on to Mitsubishi in 2002, and Kenneth Eriksson will be retiring. The 2002 Hyundai drivers will be Freddy Loix an ex-Mitsubishi Driver, and German Legend Juha Kankkunen. Now that the world knows the Hyundai Accent WRC2 can be competetive look forward about mid season for finishes like the ones thanksgiving weekend. Hyundai will prove they have what it takes to have a world class car.
