To begin with, I LOVE the 2003 Tibby. I must buy one! Here's my dilemma: I want the options available on the GT, but I HATE the rear spoiler. IMHO it is just WAY too tallhttp://members.tripod.co.uk/Xorro3/ukhcs/pix/tuscani04.jpg. Perhaps the popular assumption is that Americans like things big. If anyone paid attention to the first round of "2003 Tiburon" publicity pics, they were pics of the Tuscani, and it has a much more understated (and I think better looking) spoilerhttp://members.tripod.co.uk/Xorro3/ukhcs/pix/tuscani47.jpg. Does anyone share this opinion?

My question for those "in the know" is this: what are the odds of me

(A) Getting the options I want (big engine, leather seats/wheel/shifter, 6-speed, 17 in. wheels, premium sound, anything I'm forgetting) on the base model

OR

(B) Getting a base model tailgate from the dealer on my GT

OR

(C) Getting a Korean Tuscani tailgate with the cool spoiler for my USA GT?

Thanks, JEA

Get the V6 GT, rip the big spoiler off and by the normal smaller one!<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

That's a good idea. I've never done any customizing, though. How are spoilers usually attached to the rear deck? How diificult would the swap be? Does anyone know a parts supplier that might have the smaller, overseas spoiler when the time comes? JEA

The car will come stock with the smaller spoiler. The larger one is optional.

It is bigger than I need. Since I probably will never go fast enough in it to create any real down-force, the small one is as big as I'd want to go. Anything else would be posing. Leave big aerodynamics to the after-market/custom folks.

JEA, that's based on HMA's website, what they've told me, and what I've known all along.
