I'm noticing a strong banging and rattling everytime I hit a large bump... and I also noticed that the rear feels like its slipping and swaying. At first I thought it was due to speeding, but it even happens @ 60mph on turns. I think something is lose back there, a nut/bolt etc. What do you guys think, anybody with this problem? I'm going to take it to the dealer anyway.

Get under the car & check all the rubber bushes on the rear suspension. It's possibly a worn bush - maybe on the shock absorber or, as said above, the sway(anti-roll) bar.
Good Luck.
PS avoid any hi-speed cornering until you get it sorted<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yeah, I would try Brock's suggestion. When parts with rubber, etc. wear out prematurely, then tend to bang or clad as they hit other pieces of metal in the suspension. Either that or maybe something got caught in there and is making the news. Could be anything. Bring it in and get it checked out.

i had the same noise onmy rear shocks. i took ti to the dealer, they say it happens if u get aftermarket rims and low profile tires. they say it makes the suspension work harder so thats why it happens. thats what they told me.

*17 inch rims
*clear corners
*black mesh grill
*mini intake
*exhust muffle
*coil overs (coming soon)

So the suspension is overworked... now, if I get Eibach springs, that'll make it work harder in addition to the rims. Should I get performance shocks if I get the springs to alleviate the problem?

Either way, I'm going to take it to R&S strauss for a free estimate, and then I'll either do the work myself or get the work done somewhere else.
