Hm.. I checked at Kbb.com the trade in value price on my 2001 Tiburon.. It was priced at $12,356 if sold to the dealership... Only 4k less then what I bought it for. Not to rip on Hyundai's but I had no idea Hyundai's resale price was this high... I mean I think Hyundai's are reliable cars now but a majority of morons out there don't... I'm guessing Kbb forgot to subtract the price for it being a Hyundai? I just thought I'd be lucky to get 7k for my car at the dealership.

I went to 2 different dealers to see what they would give me...mine too is worth over $12,000, but they only wanted to give me $9,000 and the other $8,000...they said that no one wanted the Tib, hahaha...thats why they are always sold out right?

Of course, its an import, it will have a higher resale value.

Should see what I could get for my '99 Sonata GL V6 with 60,000 km's on it. I still only loose $4,000 according to KBB. I think it was EXTREMELY rare for a GL V6 cause they started it in the last batch to North America before releasing it that way for now on.

I just asked my bank today... I still owe $11,635 CDN on my car. It will take me two and a half more years to pay it off. I bought it fully loaded (except for leather) in the end of the 99 model year. I figure that it is worth about $10,000 now with 76,000kms on it. Won't know till I get it apraised. I figure when the time comes... I can put a for sale sign in the window and see what bites I get. I figure I can prolly get a little bit more for it if I find the right kid looking for a nice car that already has a bunch of mods done to it. One test trive and it will be sold...

Then it will be a 2004 or 2005 Tuscani for me. I don't usually like to buy a car the first that they come out. Gives the engineers time to work out the bugs. Hell... If I bought a Tiburon the first year they came out in Canada I wouldn't have had a loaded car and I would have been stuck with a 1.8L with no spoiler... ugh...

I love my car...
