There is NO way to do this trick without ruining your tranny. I am sure these stunt cars are set up a little different then stock too but they also make enough money to do these tricks and pay for new parts. I would not suggest doing this especially with a Hyundai tranny.

Well I am aware that you can do it in any car but without destroying the tranny I would not bet on that. He asked if he could do it with an AUTOMATIC transmission and I definately would not try it with that in a Hyundai. For that matter I would not do it in a manual either unless you are willing to do transmission work often. These types of moves are harder on the transmission then racing and Hyundai is not known for the greatest transmissions especially when it comes to the automatics. You go ahead and keep doing it if you want but I would rather sink the money into fixing up my car instead of just fixing it.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

If you think it won't hurt a trany jerking the gears around like that then go right ahead and keep doing it but as most of us already know Hyundai tranies (especially automatics) are week and will not hold up to this type of abuse. Hell some of them don't even hold up to normal daily driving.
