Rod to Stroke Ratio

ok fellas, anyone know what the bore/stroke of the 1.5l. Also, does anyone know the length of the stock Connecting rods are. Im trying to find out what the rod ratio is, and see if this motor has any damn potential. Ideal is 1.750, a b16 honda motor is 1.745, a ford 2.0l zetec is 1.549.

Just as i expected, no one has a clue what im talking about. well, I had a look for ya. But I cant find the rod length for the alpha motor anywhere.

get this: the rod-stroke ratio on my 4G61BT is 2:1 !!!! 25psi here we come!

Dude, you don't even know what your talking about. You need to divide the rod length by the stroke. how do you get 2:1?<img src=/images/forums/snitz/finger.gif width=33 height=15 border=0>

If its such an easy formula, take you goddamn motor apart and measure instead of being a d*ckhead.

Needles to say, it sucks for a high revver tho (and thats the only real reason I can think of why you'd want to know).

You could contact HVE about the rod length since they have built stroker versions of Alpha motors. Paul is not easy to get in touch with, so your best bet is to phone Australia. I have a '98 shortblock, and if you didn't act like such a cock I might have gone to the trouble to grab a rod a measure it. If someone who does know what you are looking for stumbles upon comments like that, it's a surefire way to get your posts ignored.
