RPW has a n/a upgrade for the beta engines. It's pretty expensive, but they claim they can produce over 300 HP out of the 2.0L4 engine.Has anyone actually spent the money to have this done and if soare the HP ratings true??????

RPW is a fairly reputable company. I don't know if what they are saying is true but it is possible to get 300hp out of a n/a beta motor.

Just remeber that those are Auzy dollars. it might be less with the conversion. Also know that you can not reprogram our US spec ecu's.
Plus how are they going to perform the work for you? Not to shoot you down but....

Actually I didn't want them to do the work, but if the numbers are right I could probably find someone in the states that can do the work!

Blakeman,
The best resource for what you want to know about machining the Beta is RED at TeamSR.org. Although he is building a monster turbo motor he knows all the ends and out of the beta. he may be able to give you some direction. Just tell him about the rpw upgrades. It is doubtfull that RPW will tell you every thing that they do but I could be wrong.
Good Luck

Patriot,I'm actually going for the sponsorship through Ballistic, but if that doesn't go through with the turbo,i'm thinking about going n/a.I know right now there are alot of options for n/a hyundai cars than turbos. What my original question was are the Hp numbers claimed byRPW true?I'm sure RED would know the answer to that though. Thanks for your help!!!
