Hey everyone,
There is a guy in my area who is driving around with a accent 2dr with a turbo on it, and its homemade too! Anyways, I only saw the car twice but not the owner. A friend of mine who works at a speedshop knows of him and helped him with the turbo. He wants to put a elantra or a mitsu eclipse engine in his accent now and turbocharge that with a rx7 turbocharger. Will the mitsu engine or elantra engine fit up to the motor mounts and the transmission? Im curious cause my engine is givin me way too many problems and I want a different one and wanted to know.

The Tib/Elantra Beta motor will go in fairly easy. There's a write up in here somewhere called "How to put a Beta motor in an Accent". It covers the basics of the swap.

It will fit better in the 2K Accent though as it was almost designed for the 2.0L Beta for the WRC Accent. The 2K Accent is about 2" wider.

The Beta motor will go in MUCH easier than the Mitsu motor.
