I think it is messed up that the ladies get a seperate class. We are in a whole new millenium and where has all the equal rights crap gone?
Putting the ladies in their own category is a slap in the face to them. It is basically saying they can't drive.(all jokes aside)
I encourage you ladies out there when you autocross to refuse to be put in the ladies category. Its not like we are playing football or boxing you all are just as capible of driving as anyone else is.
I am sure we will get a thread full of jokes now but honestly having a seperate ladies category is like having a seperate category for Latinos or African Americans. We should have come further in this world than that.

the "L" classes have been there since the SCCA and Solo II racing came into existence. i've heard, but i'm not sure, that they're being phased out soon. there are going to be a lot of rules changes and reclassifications in the 2002 season, and that may be one of them.
i'm not sure though.
