Santa Fe V6 3.5 Litre!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few weeks ago a Koren Air Cargo plane was unloading it's cargo at Sydney Airport when it ober balanced, slowly lifting the nose in the air until the tail was resting on the tarmac. It hapenned just as they were unloading a Santa Fe which was strapped onto a transport frame/crate.

As the nose of the plane lifted, the Santa Fe on it's crate was between the aircraft and the unloader, and fell a few meters onto the runway. The Santa Fe remained strapped to the crate, but I would car that it was somewhat worse for wear after the impact.

Now Hyundai would not fly out a standard looking Santa Fe for a customer, especially when it is the current model!

Information from a very reliable source says that it was just not another Santa Fe. It was fitted with a V6 3.5 litre motor and was coming over here for hot weather testing in the Australian outback.

You would have to assume this was to be more that just a motorshow special, as you do not need to hot weather test a car for a static display at the local motor show.

Never say never unless u are 100 % sure. bretton's source is very reliable. Look out for 3.5V6 engine to be applied on the Santa Fe from Dec 2002 on Yank and Canuck models. U ever heard of Kia Sorento ? This truck is replacing the Sportage with the same 3.5L V6 to be used on the Santa Fe. U should work for Hyundai, u seemed to know their product very well<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>u are absolutely right, HP is approximately 196, but very torquey at 216.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/laugh.gif width=15 height=31 border=0>
