i have a 2000 elantra that i'm starting to price mods on, but i'm not sure if i wanna put all the money into an automatic... are there any aftermarket shift-tronic type transmissions available? if not, does anyone have any other suggestions? thanks a lot!
Yup level 10 does have it , $1100. I'd get either the torque converter or do a real 5speed swap at that price, but I guess if no one buys it the price won't come down. BTW their torque converters are the next major mod on my ride.
<img src=/images/forums/snitz/eek.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> they finally did it?! do you have a URL for them?<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/cool.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>
Aftermarket trannies... where can I find them? Is there an upgrade for manuals other than just clutches? I am going to go nuts on this Elantra, to make up for losing my Mustang slaying 256HP 327Ft.Lb of torque Grand Prix GTP coupe that got smashed. (I actually had it dynoed!)
contact them for more info. The torque converter is a swap or you send yours in deal since the fly wheel on the auto is intgrated into it ( read not able to seperate ) it's called a flex plate actually , it increases the stall speed and has much less slip, so think about launching at 3000 rpm not 2500.
