Not that I know of. Check out a post in the Tiburon forum about B&M Shifter Pics. There is some good info in there. Also try the "Search" link on the top right of the forum pages. <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0> Good luck, happy modding.

btw, wanna buy a tib? http://www.hyundaiperformance.com/forums/snitz/topic.asp?a=&t=5704

There are 4 short shifters currently on the market for the Tiburon.

MHP (Mad House Productions)
Shark Racing
HVE
B&M

The B&M Unit and the HVE unit do NOT require cutting of the shifter baseplate. The MHP and SR units require you to cut the shifter baseplate.

The MHP unit is a re-worked stock shifter, with a lower knob mount point and a longer lower shift linkage mount point.

The SR Unit is a complete new shifter, with a lower knob mount point, a longer, lower shift linkage mount point and a longer secondary shift linkage mount point.

The HVE I cannot comment on, as I have not seen it in person or photos.

The B&M I have only seen photos of, but it appears to be a new shifter, with a lower knob mounting point, and a longer, lower shift linkage mount point.

If I had to guess, I would say the SR shifter has the shortest throw, due to the addition of the longer secondary shift linkage mount point, but, No one has done a comparison of the four, however, since the HVE unit is an unknown, it may indeed have the shortest throw.

Just for the heck of it, I think I'll write to each of the companies and see if they will send me a test unit, so I can do a write up/comparo. (Hey, It never hurts to ask/try)

Random, I've actually been working on that. KORE is releasing a short-shifter as well.

here is the scoop on ours....photos soon....

early tib shifter ...uses a set up similar to sharks but we include the bottom pc, top pc and the middle mount. the middle mount is made so that no cutting is required to install. the top pc is made to reduce by about 30-35% and the height is also adjustable as well where the knob goes on.....

2001 tib / elantra...... looks alot like B and M cause well there isnt a really different way to do it...lol....... works about the same as well. made from cnc machines heat treated aluminum.

94-99 accent shifter.... works on the same principle as the early tiburon. includes the bottom pc, middle and the top. the middle is again constructed so that there is no cutting required...............

watch for more at www.kore-motorsports.com or at robs HP.com store

thanks
dan
