I know that the Dakota Quad Cab (v-8) is quick...high 15's 1/4 mile.
I also know that the Toyota Tacoma
S-Runner and Super-charged Tacoma
Dbl Cab TRD get high 15's as well.
But I DIDN'T know that some of the Chevy Silverados got 16 flats (LS 1500) and 16.3 (HD V-8). So I had a
phat-ass race on my hands up on Herndon Ave, blood and guts till I finally edged ahead...around 92 or 93 mph rapidly approaching a red-light. Herndon is a throughfare,
posted 50 mostly, then 60 a mile or two before Hwy 99. I was lucky that the truck I was racing turned out to be the Silverado HD, a shade slower than the LS, or I may have lost that one. I was actually concentrating
so hard on shifting I didn't realise we had passed 90 so quickly...I remember squinting at the dash and thinking "93? WTF!" Anyhoo, my Lil Elantra pulled through, just barely, but I am so ready for my KORE CAI!
