The elantra 2001+ CAM that we are all talking about useing is a solid lifter CAM.
I have a 2000 Tib. It has HALs. Can you use a solid lifter CAM for HALs.
I have friends that build muscle cars and they all said no way.
Did any of you replace your valves? When doing the CAM upgrade.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/uhh.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

If you do a search you will find that this new 2001 cam will work fine with the HLA's since it is not significantly different than the cam you have now. It has slightly more lift and duration than your current cam, but not enough to require you to change your HLA's or your valve springs to use it.

So it's not all that good of a CAM.
Does any one have the complete speks on the two CAMs. IE: original 2000 tib CAM and the Elantra 2000.5 CAM<img src=/images/forums/snitz/wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>
