my freind and i get crucial when it comes to weight reduction...i will post the weight of each removed item and post 1/4 mile results in the next couple of weeks...if you r autocrossing...remeber to keep a neutral balance in the car...u do not want an unbalance car (80/20) unless u do the proper sway bar spring combo to help out.....can we say rear end steppin out

One i have a question i noticed that all ur work only resulted in a 100 lb loss. I that really going to make that much of a difference in the car. take the two time before the weight loss and after then, when u add the turbo how much does that weight cuss it might just put the weight right back on plus some. and for how much of a gain. I could see in NHRA profesonal pro stock and stuff like that when races are messured in hundreths of seconds but not bracket racing... and all this talk about turbo chargers has anyone made a supercharger for the elantra because turbos are far inferrior to a super... plus turbos are harder on an engine for everyday use.

PASS THE CRACK PIPE YOU MORON!

i guess since turbo's are so hard on your daily driven engine, that's why theres so many more stock turbo'd cars then there are stock SC'd cars, see the DSM turbo engines, the audi/vw 18ts, and the years and years of Saabs with turbos. not to mention all the turbo diesels and i think the scoupe had a turbo 1.5l one year.. those are just the examples that leap to mind right now, i'm sure there are many more... now how many stock supercharged cars do you see running around? the GM supercharged 3800 series V6 engine from the Grand Prix and the Bonneville are the only ones i can think of

the only time i'd think about Supercharging is if i drove a car with no bottom end (read: b16/b18 honda)... otherwise turbo really honestly is the route that will net you the most power, and definately the most fun

That was just a simple estimate im sure I lost alot more than a simple 100 lbs. I just took out my ac compressor, and its components. now working on the heater. evporator and such,
