I have a 97tib fx, manual... how the hell do I get rid of the limiter.. I hate toping out at 120 when my tib has soooo much life to it left. <img src=/images/forums/snitz/approve.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> OH, and what size are the door speakers again for my car? <img src=/images/forums/snitz/oogle.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

Hey...if someone can get me the schematics for how the VSS is wired in, I will work with it to try and figure out a way to rig a switch in the console so that you can turn it off and on at will. Drew, you can't just unplug the thing and go along happily in life. The ECU uses the Vehicle Speed Sensor for a few different things, only one of which is determining when to kick in and govern your top speed. If you just disconnect it, you'll keep killing the engine whenever you come to a stop, and you'll eventually throw a CEL. The ECU uses the vehicle speed to determine how high it should keep the RPMs of the engine between shifts and as you're coasting. It can deal without it when you're driving, but as soon as you stop, everything craps out. Hence the need to be able to turn it on and off from the driver's seat so that you can do you speed-demon runs with it off, and then turn it back on before you stop.

I took out my vss and was able to use my car's full potenial. nA fukin NA NA

I think the door speakers are 6.5" <img src=/images/forums/snitz/wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>
