This a.m. I noticed when I depressed the power button...nothing happened. I've checked the fuses, ( one in the kick panel in the drivers compartment and the other inside the fuse box under the hood; both labeled "rad" ) Fuses are fine. I haven't done any work lately that may have dislogged any wiring, but they may have loosened from everyday driving.
Any ideas/ suggestions? Please help !!! Thanks in advance !!!

Just wondering if it's the Clarion.
If it is this should be easy to fix.
For some reason all the Clarion decks have this problem. Every now and then the miroprocessor like to malfunction in the Tiburon's. But the way you fix it is by resetting it.
1. Put your key in the ignition and turn it too the start position but don't turn on the car.
2.Remove your DCP.
3.Locate a little button at the far right of the deck, that is the reset button.
4.With a non metallic thin rod "very thin" press the button for about 2-3 seconds.
5.Put the DCP back on and turn on the car and it should work.
If it doesn't then you have a bigger problem.
Hope that helps

Dunno man. Don't see Clarion labeled anywhere on it. It's the factory 100 watt, 6 speaker, AM/FM Stereo Cassette/ CD. I believe it's model #H855.
Didn't see a reset button on the right of the unit and dunno what a DCP is, (Just call me "Stoopid"). Appreciate the try though...
ANY OTHER IDEAS...PLEASE!!!

Sorry about that, DCP is short for Detachable Control Panel.

In that case you might be better off letting a Hyundai dealership check it out.
Sorry I couldn't help but I'll still look into it before the day is over.

Am not sure but I thought all Tiburons came with Clarion decks.
But there is one more thing you could try, phone a dealership and tell them what you have for a stereo and then ask them how can you recode your stereo. It's just like a reset button but different. You should also have the code in your stereo manual or car manual. Check with your dealership you should have your warranty still, your car is only a 2000 right!

Hey man...Thanks for all the help. It's working fine now. Took less than an hour to remove the console and dash assembly; get the stereo unit unpluged, taken apart, checked; and everything put back the way it was. Hell...even replaced a fuse in the back of the stereo unit and re-set all my stations. Never did find that confounded reset button though !!!
