Does anyone know if the strut bars that fit a Tiburon, will also fit a Elantra? I drive a Tib. my wife drives an Elan. Atleast for the front anyway.

Excuse me?!?

I am the forums Administrator here. I do not know the answer to your question so I did not answer it but I do have a job to do to keep these forums running smoothly. I was simply giving you instructions (rules) for the forums and if you can not accept that then oh well.

I have posted this several times in the past and when you double post I will lock one.
Double posting screws up the topic cause it scatters the post. It also makes it difficult for those who want to find it again. Not to mention the fact that it screws up the search feature.

Next time I have to tell you this I will not be so nice.

Since you probally will end up buying the set of your Tiburon and another for the Elantra, your gonna have to buy 2 already so make sure you get specific.

From what I can figure out but I m not sure, the '97-01 Tiburon Struts should work with the '96-00 Elantra.

Sorry bout that. I was a little cranky after someone was pushing my buttons in another post.

I take it back.

Yes... The Tib strut braces fit Elantras. The rear brace is another story. To fit it in the elantra you will need to cut some metal out.

Thanks for the info. I also read that for the back bar on the Tib. I would have to cut out a little of the side wall to make it fit, is that true?

Yes you do have to cut a little but not any metal. You just have to cut some small notches in the interior for the bar to go through. Over all it is a fairly easy install and you will quite enjoy it when it is done.

For the Tiburon install all you need to cut is the interior panneling a little. The Elantra is a different story.
It has some extra steel around the rear strut towers. It will need to be modified in order for the brace to be installed.

Brendan bought both braces and ended up selling the rear one because he didn't want to have to cut any metal.
