Your short ram looks okay, as long as it's secured. Not sure what you were looking for besides that. The black box is your intake sound resonator, and serves to hold water in case you've sucked some into your intake as well. It could only handle a little water though.

ok i decided to take out the stock air box and put in a temporary short ram custom thing, the problem i have is i dont have much room to make it long. so i have it propped up behind the battery so it doesnt fall down and rub the radiator hose.

That's kind of similiar to mine...except I didn't need a hose adapter so it's shorter...and I left the bottom half of the stock airbox in as a tray for it.
