so im figuring..(feel free to correct me)..that since the "upper" grades of 02' sonatas have disks all around...then swapping from the rear drum configs on base models should be easy...

right?
I havent been under my rear-end yet but my guess is:
the "knuckles/hubs" on the independent rear might be the same for all models therefore bolting on purchased (OE) calipers/rotors should be a snap.

aside from some new brake lines and perhaps adjustments to the P-brake cable, it SHOULD go smoothly...

the worst case senario is that i need to swap the master cylinder for one that can push 4 calipers (another OE purchasable part)

the reason for this whole train of thought is the desire to NOT have drums peeking out from behind my new wheels...im such a poser.

I wasnt going to go out of my way to upgrade the fronts but..i just might...it would make sence to have the same type of caliper at each corner.

I did see a "big brake" upgrade at one of the webites, but was unsure if it applied to Sonatas.

as far as the mini drum rear goes...ill definiteley have to research further..

BTW: nice ride you got there YOON

thanks...

i forget if the '02 sonata's come with 5 bolts... but if it does... the better....b/c you won't have to swap out the hubs since the hubs are t he same as the XG..
