Can anyone help and let me know some failure signs of the thermostat. My car is not holding coolant in the radiator or back up tank. The radiator is not leaking I just had a flush 4 months ago and there wasn't even corrosion in my old fluid but the car recently started overheating and rushing coolant out the resevoir when I turn the car of. I'm thinking water pump also but thats another assumption. Any help will "HELP"!!! ;):

If it's over heating couple options are.. Cooling fans not working.. or possible stuck closed thermostat.. What does your temp gauge say?

my car was running hot when I went over 60+, changed the therm and all is good. easy 5 minute job. I went with the 160 over the 195 and all is good.

What do you mean your radiator and overflow tank are not holding coolant? Do you keep filling and it never tops up or you mean you fill it and it disappears?
