so recently, my car had to have its thermostat replaced. Was stuck and engine started overheating. had it replaced a like 4 months ago.

Now, in the mornings (or whenver the car has been off for a long time), i will drive. The engine temp will rise slowly as it does normally. but then, all of a sudden, will stop dropping in temperature. sometimes, it goes all the way back down, sometimes, it only goes like halfway down in temperature. After that, it "heats back up" and doesn't do it again.

ill notice the heater not be warm at all when it does that. and it doesn't do it everytime i start the car, even though, it is starting to be more frequent.

possible thermostat failure?

It could also be a head gasket as well (not that common though).
