I was just wondering some of ur thoughts on the new tib, i like it, but i think it looks like a hybrid of a mustang, a cougar, & a cellica. Also, how many of u plan on trading in ur 2000 or 97-99 tib in for the 2003?

IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A FVCKING MUSTANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The correct way to say it, it looks like its has a build of a sports car!!! Ive always liked the look of the 1st gen tiburons, but the 3rds look the best now.

I personally like the GT version, not the stock one, it sux, sux w/o a wing, w/o 16's and w/o the 2.7L engine... it's not worth getting a 2.0L in that car, not worth it at all...

I never liked the 2nd gen so I can't compare them, but as far as the 1st and 3rd gen, I don't think there will be another tibby badged car that has more individuality than the 1st gen sorry... it's a completely new redesigned car, and as you said the new v6 has so many parts of other cars, so I'd have to chose the 1st gen...

just following suit with that new treny bubble look to me i dunno....I got the 2001 just because it looks different then any car out there...nobody around here has one, except one kid who actually won 1st place in some show dunno...it was a risky design that didnt work to well for hyund...but Out of the 3, I perfer this one..but then again..I never did fit in with the majority population anyways...Yep looks l like a nappy poor mans mustang...what happend to the old boxier 5.0's like in menace to society....Im tellin u its a race to see who can make a car that most resembles a bubble with seats

I disagree, personally i prefer the 2.0 over the 2.7
#1) Gas mileage
#2) Insurance
#3) I've heard the 2.7 cant handle much over 200 hp without rebuilding the bottom end whereas the 2.0 has been tested up to 230 hp without bottom emd mods.
#4) To me its more of a personal challenge to get more horsepower out of such a small engine, and when i do get that monster power im VERY proud of myself and feel as though i have accomplished something that not EVERY one can do.
#5) To me, its not a true rice machine if its not 4 cyls. My view of a true rice rocket is a tiny engine that makes big noise. anythign over 4 cyl making big noise is almost already a given.

These are all in my own very personal opinion.

I, too, think it'd be a pretty nice machine to get in the 4-cylinder version. The BETA II you'll be able to squeeze buttloads of HP out of, especially compared to the limited modification you can do to the V6 before you start to injure it. AND, I'm wililng to bet there's more room for goodies under the hood in that new one. The main disadvantage of the Beta option, though, is the lack of the six-speed. From what I gather, it's not compatible with the Beta...

I'm not a fan of the bodystyle very much. I am VERY biased towards my first-gen sweetheart. The Tuscani looks so little like the previous versions of the Tiburon, I'm frankly a little suprised that they didn't just start it up as a new Tuscani line and end the Tiburon one. It's a very different machine from what I understand... The Tiburons were designed to be sporty moderately rally-based sport-compact cars. The Tuscani, from what all I've heard and read, is more of a touring coupe.

It's nice, don't get me wrong. But it's just nice in it's own way.

bah!

1st gen tiburon front end looks like the 93 gen style eclipse....bah! I like the backend, thou suprasish lights :) No....completely new deisgn eh? bah!

Course the 2nd gen looks like the older celica, but I think hyundai did a better job on the lighters, they are smaller and less girlly looking.

The 3rd gen tib looks like a cross between the cougar and mustang. and eruo sedanish.

To be honest, what ever tiburon you buy first will always be your first love and the others will come second.

Well...I'm planning to trade my 2001 black tib for the 2003 SE version (I4 Beta) this summer or maybe on my birthday. Hopefully,..Hp.com will produce turbo kits for the 2003 model so I can turbo it up maybe 2 years from now.
I'm gonna miss my 01 Tib, but on the bright side,...I'm gonna see it again after my younger bro pass his driver's license. He's gonna get a used 01 silver tib...and from there...I'm gonna hook him up with bodykits and turbos as well.

ConceptVBS: [ I wish I had a brother like you jono....]

Heheeeeehhee.... I was going to do some modification on my 01 tib but it turned out that I'm better off with the 03 tib, this way my brother and I don't feel the loss of uniqueness.
When my bro gets the 01 silver tib, my dream of modifiying the 01 tib can exist again.

gen1 is alright to me, they kinda remind me of eagle talon and a bunch of other..., dont ask me y, i just do.
2nd gen which i have, and love it. The circle head light seem to be copy from another car, integra i think, but it's still good. I like this gen because it's seem to be unique, like the wavy body panel and spoiler.
gen3 haven't seem one in person, but in picture i don't like it. It look like the car is taken every unique feature from other car and throw in together.

In reference to my previous post, I went and test drove the 2003 yesterday afternoon. Not the model I wanted to drove, although it WAS the I4. It was an auto. I owned a 2001 tib 5 spd and it was fairly quick out of the box. Compared to this 2003 auto it would have decimated it. But I know that autos are notoriously slower than a stick. But i was a little dissapointed int he power. Thats ok though nothing a big bore throttle body andmatched intake cam and small shot of nos cant fix hehe. Just thought id put in my thoughts though, for those of you that wondered what the I4 was like.

I saw a GT in black at the dealership the other day and must say that Hyundai did a great job on the redesign. Don't know how I feel about those "gills" though. Maybe they will grow on me.

honestly.. im keeping my 2nd gen all the way.. i love the infinity audio setup in the new gt.. (test drove an alpine white gt at village hyundai in midland, tx) the interior is a bit bland.. its definatly quick.. but i like the 2nd gen's much better.... it's unique... but... it's not my 2001 ;)
