Has anyone tried the Shark Racing throttle body on their 2001 Tiburon. Im curious to know if it helped performance at all? Gain in horsepower? Easy to install?

I put the Barney throttle on mine, The purple one for 300. Very nice peice, worth the cash, maybee 3-6 hp gain and VERY easy to install.

Iam wondering what the original size in mm the stock throttle body is? Also is there truth to only being able to go up to 6mm more without boggin and having to modifiy the fuel pump and injector bar?

The stock TB is 54 mm, I am currently running mine at 58 mm over bored. Works great, I would say it is the most noticable naturally aspirated mod you can do.

Yea it has cruise on it, I am thinking of going with the 61mm barney tb sold on shark racing. Itll be one of my first mods i do so if it bogges that wont be cool <img src=/images/forums/snitz/disapprove.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> If any body is running that bbtb and doesnt have any mods to the fuel system let me know how it has worked. Also does anyone know if u can have someone bore the factory one out? If so what are the disadvantages of that and who or what type of shop would do it? If anybody knows of another retailer of bbtb other than the ones sold at shark racing let me know the web site<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0> One more thing anybody got one for sale or know of another site that people sell personal tib products on?

There might be a couple more, but SR is defenently the cheapest around.
