How hard is the 2001 tiburon suspension compared to say a corvette or dodge viper?

well i've never driven in a viper or corvette so I don't really have a base for comparison. But over all I think the suspension is sporty enough as it is but also forgiving enough to be comfortable.

The tiburon's suspension is considerably softer than a Vette or Viper. As a dealer to take a test drive in a used 1999 or newer vette, and you will see what I mean. (getting a test drive in a viper would be a tad harder).

Leave it to Random to Needlessly complicate things.

The suspension design is rather remarkable, but the springs themselves suck really bad. Those things bounce like hell!<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

I think it's 21. AND at the dodge dealership by me you have to put down 5k to do a test drive. (The Viper anyways)

When I drove a vette I thought it handled really well. Don't remember it being all bouncey. But you can make your tiburon handle really well too. And it doesn't cost to much either except for maybe coilovers. But I don't have them and mine corners like a bitch.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Talk your dad into taking you down to the dealership. Have him tell the sales guy that he is going to buy the vette for you. Then you two can take the test drive together. Chances are, they won't let you do it, if you show up buy yourself. Buy having your dad there...then the sales guy won't come for the "drive" with you...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

The Tibs suspension is WAY softer than Corvette, and no it does not handle nearly as well stock. How do I know this? I have owned 3 Vettes including my current ZR-1. Now, I am on a mission to make my Tib compete with my Vette handling wise, I know it can be done, just need to spend the bucks to do it.

2000 5-speed, mostly stock.

Saint, how do you like the eibachs ? I saw them at tirerack.com for about 250 shipped. They only say 1.2" drop - do they make a difference ? I also noticed the h&r springs and b&g look good.

2001 blue Tibby, leather, cd, custom racing stripes, etc. every option avail.

i got to drive a viper at my work.(almost had a booboo going around a turn lol) the power was amazing, but i hated the way it handled. every time i gave it a little gas it would spin. lol. for the ride, it was very tight and stiff, very bumpy.
