Yes its a Dodge, but it will give the WRX even a run for its money.

No word on Pricing

What is so impressive about a 2.4L turbo putting out 205 hp? like it's the next WRC car or something...

still, it's cool to see more companies go the turbo sport compact route

I bet neon owners think our cars are ugly...not defending them or anything.

Cause that thing is FUGLY<img src=/images/forums/snitz/laugh.gif width=15 height=31 border=0>

Still, I'd rather have the WRX.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

They seem to have some misinformation. It's supercharged, not turboed. The "SRT" does not stand for street/road/track but rather "Superhcarged Road/Track" The picture appears to be somebody's wishful interpretation. The concept doesn't look quite as bad IMHO. At least this is what I gather from Dodge's site.

Um, is dodge serious about producing this car? or is it still in the concept phase? Also, was it at the Detroit auto show?

I read fairly recently that the DaimlerChrysler head honchos cut any forced induction plans for the Chrysler Neon and PT Cruiser. I am guessing they know all to well how fragile domestic motors are, with the great lack of engineering that takes place under American hoods and everything. But I may be wrong and they changed their minds and do plan on squishing more air into their motors.
